Ervin Cable Construction, LLC (ECC) began business in 1980 as a small construction company that did TVRO installation, Cable TV design and engineering, and aerial and underground construction work, primarily in Kentucky and Tennessee. Based on steady growth and continued reinvestment in our company since 1980 we have grown to a size that allowed us to build/upgrade over 10,000 miles of plant during each year in 2001, 2002, and 2003 in addition to completing a variety of engineering projects in 167 locations covering 21 states. We have diversified our customer base to include Telephone, Electric, and Gas as well as CATV. The past year ECC has had a steady growth in telecommunications work, with several ongoing projects and several successfully completed projects.
ECC takes great pride in our excellent record over the past 26 years, which is accomplished through discipline and hard work. We are one of the few companies in our industry that have our workmen’s compensation insurance written directly by our carrier instead of being insured through the assigned risk pool.
We feel that the quality of our personnel, and the equipment we are able to commit to each job separates our company from our competitors. Our project managers have been through extensive training as well as practical field experience. ECC is certified to do business in every state we work by the Secretary of State, and have been licensed by the state board of contractors in each state that we do business if that state requires a license to work.
In 1999, ECC merged with Dycom Industries, Inc. The merger enables ECC to provide a wider variety of services in virtually any location. In concert with steady growth, ECC has maintained its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction that has formed the character of the company from the beginning. We are proud of our past and will continue to work hard to ensure complete customer satisfaction in the future.
